RateMyShift Limited Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the RateMyShift web application available at https://use.ratemyshift.app and the RateMyShift website available at https://ratemyshift.app (the “Websites”) run by RateMyShift Limited (“RateMyShift”, “We”, “Us”).

We want as many people as possible to be able to use these Websites. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the Websites’ content using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the Websites’ content using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the Websites’ content using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the Websites’ text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Accessibility Limitations

We know some parts of the Websites are not fully accessible:

  • The side navigation on the RateMyShift web app does not appear fully when a viewport of width 1280px is zoomed in at 400%.
  • The follow up component used in the manager’s overview and manager’s follow up pages of the RateMyShift web app does not display fully when a viewport of height 1280px is zoomed in at 400%

Technical information about these Websites’ accessibility

Compliance status

The Websites are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons due to non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

Success Criterion 1.4.10 Reflow

  1. Some parts of the Manager’s Overview and Follow Ups page are not visible at a viewport width of 320 CSS Pixels.

We plan to fix this problem by March 2024.

  1. The side navigation is not fully visible at a viewport height of 320 CSS Pixels

We plan to fix this problem by March 2024

Disproportionate burden

Success Criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard

  1. The popup menu for changing the RateMyShift web app to dark theme is not keyboard navigable.

We use a ‘Dropdown’ component to provide this functionality which is developed as part of the Ant Design Framework and is not keyboard navigable. There is an open issue on Github regarding this and a fix will hopefully be worked on by the development team. However, this matter is out of the immediate control of RateMyShift.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

None
